Our Mission
To bring diverse people together to cultivate inclusive, engaged communities in Centre County.
History
Since 2001, the Community Diversity Group has led the effort to attract and retain a diverse group of individuals to share in fostering a community based on inclusion and equity. Our members include people from our community --- workers and retirees, businesses, educational institutions, government, and social services --- representing a myriad of ethnicities, religions, and perspectives.
About
The Community Diversity Group is a non-profit 501 (c)(3) coalition with representatives from the citizens and businesses of Centre County, employees of Penn State, local governments, and community non-profit organizations. The CDG offers training, consulting, and a monthly calendar of diversity events. Your contributions are 100% tax-deductible and are used solely for the cost of training materials and workshops, hosting diversity-focused events, and publicity efforts designed to educate the community as to the significance of cultural sensitivity. All CDG members, including our Board of Directors, contribute on a volunteer basis.
